Hello all! Nice to meet you.
My name is Morgan, and I've always been fascinated by anything concerning the supernatural, paranormal, or otherworldly–and the Fae are no exception. They've captured my interest even more so since a series of happenings when I was younger: finding out that our family tree may indeed trace back to King Arthur and Morgan leFaye, a brief encounter with what could only have been a unicorn, as well as finding some of Brian Froud's books that had belonged to a family friend. (There have been other small occurrences since then, but I won't get into those now.) I had actually nearly forgotten all about that till recently, when I was searching for inspiration for a story I'm writing and stumbled upon this site. So I've been lurking here for a while now, it seemed like it was time to finally show myself :] This seems like a very nice forum, and it's very interesting to see what others know and have experienced themselves. It's wonderful to be able to discuss these things without being treated like a nutcase, hahaha.
So yeah. I'm very into creative arts too, especially acting and making/designing costumes…as well as photography (despite all the swamps and such, the woods around our house are really quite lovely and wonderful to photograph), experimenting with makeup, making doll clothes, felting hats, and writing. I do apologize if my posts get a bit too wordy; it's a bad habit :]
I'm looking forward to making your acquaintances !

Welcome to RealFairies! :) How neat that you can possibly trace your family lineage back to King Arthur; that's quite a ways back! As well as seeing a Unicorn. That must have been amazing.
I hope you enjoy yourself here! Feel free to pop around on chatroll as well, many of us are active there as well as here! :)

Ah, thank you for the welcomes everyone! Quick replies, too :]
Nice to meet you all! I'd gladly shake your hands if I could!
I'll have to check out that chatroll, but I tend to wander of whenever I try to hold a chat conversation, so I dunno…
Yes, the unicorn really was quite an amazing experience. I was six or seven (?) and my mother and I were walking back to the house from feeding my pony. I saw a vague white shape out of the corner of my eye, right on the edge of the woods, watching us, but I wasn't afraid at all. But when I looked right at it, it seemed to run off and vanish, but it had a very distinct shape and aura and I immediately knew what it was. I haven't seen any since, except in my stories and dreams, but that image has always stayed with me.

There's something we certainly don't have in common :]
Normally I'm very quiet, not chatty at all. But there's always the chance I'll strike up a coversation. You never know.
