There are tree spirits called dryads. I feel them all the time also. I would just start talking to it. It would send you back feelings and energy. Maybe if it keeps going you could get visited by it in a dream? Just be kind and show love to it!

I have noticed the same with certain trees- and once I gave our beautiful old pine tree a big hug — and actually felt all this love come right back at me after hugging it— so I do think that not only trees, but all plants have a soul. Any created thing that has life in it has a form of consciousness and it will respond to love, or neglect, indifference or hate. This is when I walk by certain trees, I will often touch the trunk and send a warm greeting to it-
With some trees , if I do this but then forget the next time, I will actually feel the trees' dissapointment- like it was being ignored- so I walk back to it and greet it. There are Beings that minister to the trees as well, yet I do believe that every tree has it's own personality and soul also- and every living tree and plant has an awareness of it's surroundings , more than we humans realize. Even thier roots are alive and inter-connect with other tree's roots.
Some trees , for this reason, do not like to be planted alone- but like being planted with other trees around . I reccomend you get the book, 'Talks with Trees" by Leslie Cabarga. This man is a psychic who documented actual conversations he had with trees and all plants, flowers, etc.

Hi Faecat, yeah, I mentioned that book before– it's one of my favorites :-)
One day, I luvDance, after your father passes away- his spirit will be shown how precious that little pink tree actually was/is- and how much needless suffering he caused it. He'll be shown how God was trying to speak to him through you- but he turned a deaf ear. Many people are not able to handle that amount of truth in thier lifetimes- which is why you see so much widespread indifference to all of God's Creation by humans.
My father is the same way- many men are this way because they are taught at an early age that anything having to do with the heart and soul is women stuff, and men are supposed to conquer and destroy and stomp on everything to get what they want done. – there is no room for a soft heart with men in general- unless they are taught at a young age that there is nothing wrong with admiring beauty and flowers– it will not make a man less of a man if he stops to admire a pretty tree or a patch of daisies- but our culture teaches men to harden thier hearts on things like that and they think flower gardens are silly. I know a guy at my job who loves killing rabbits in his yard- and brags how he covers rabbit holes up with cinderblocks just to suffocate them- he gets a kick out that. A guy I used to date laughed while throwing rocks at small wild animals we would pass when on our walks. He thought he was being a cool guy but that always turned me off.
Your pink tree did suffer when it was being cut down- but only temporarily – and I believe that it's soul did go back to the Creator after it died– as all life returns back to it's Source. It may have reincarnated into another little tree somewhere else to continue it's mission on earth, or it may now be in Paradise- and after you die , you will see it there :-).
After my encounter I made sure to help the wild plants and I found a new respect for them– I learned how valuable they are for native wildlife- and pollinating insects too. Even if I find a baby tree sapling, I will now transplant the little thing in potting soil in a little pot and am nursing them until they are large enough to donate to the local State Park, or transplant somewhere. Well one morning RIGHT before waking up for work, I was in that half sleep/half wakeing up state when I heard a woman in my room- who I think was one of the taller Faery –the Sidhe– sing this verse to me:
"You are helping the flower to seed; all things are precious" This immediately jolted me awake and I wrote it right down in my journal– I will never forget that.

thats sad about the pink tree, trees definitely do have spirits, thats why we shouldn't really paint or carve things into them, like in ferngully, Krista tells Zack to stop which he starts carving a heart into the tree, and asks if he feels the pain of the tree, for a message of love like that it doesn't seem appropiate that there would have to be suffering for it to be there, when we fill the trees with words, there is less silence in the woods, and the silence, entering the space of organic wholeness, is one of the greatest medicines of the woods. Maybe you can plant a new tree, for the one that was cut down, it would take a while to grow but definitely be worth it, here we have a law that all trees that are cut if construction happens of anykind must be replanted, the exact same amount, its a great law, when we take we must give back in some way.
Today I went out and planted a few acorns, because my grandma died a while ago, but her actual funeral was a few days ago, even though I didn't go (its a wierd situation), I thought about her and went to the woods and in a way I was there in a more meaningful way to me than if I just went to the service, because she really was a big influence in my life and I still feel her presence sometimes helping me through hard times and when I dont know what to do helping me to accept myself when sometimes no one else in the world seems to be able to understand, I was thinking (and my sister and I actually had this discussion a long time ago) about how if we planted trees instead of tombstones where the dead are buried, like some people did in the olden days, wouldn't that be beautiful, then we would always have sacred woods, no one would build in those places and they would be havens forever, not scary, but spiritual places and the dead would be happy, returning to the earth and to all things. Tombstones I believe they block the flow of energy and create more wandering souls because its harder for them to return back to the cycle of energy in the universe, at the point where death becomes life again, if not the same life… but yeah… its just a theory
here's the guide I used, its pretty easy, its for oaks in particular but any seeds that you see lying around from trees, if you just bury them, something is bound to come up at least half of the time, with just a little bit of help from us with hands and feet to move about, trees could grow a lot more numerously and quickly… and trees are always good, I believe all beings are descendent from trees… we have family trees, tree of life, world tree, its no coincidence
TREES ARE IMPORTANT

You have to have physical contact with the tree to conjure the spirit. Their communication is generally on an emotional level though words are associated with some of it it's generally an emotional/energetic exchange. I use 2 different conjurations for this sort of thing one is out of Liber logaeth and the 1st enochian table call. the 1st table call is widely available. It works powerfully without making threats of torture like many grimoires do A circle probably isn't necessary since the spirit of the tree is confined to it's material basis. I can dig up the Logaeth call if you like but you have to read handwriting and Dee's handwriting isn't great.
