Of course we are now doing our best at the moment to find cleaner or completly clean was of power our machines. Hopefully that research turns out fruitful.

Not to get ahead of the faeries or anything, but I haven't been able to post on my own account for a week, and thus the reason that they'll never have their own accounts to themselves. When it comes to Magic… Magic isn't something that is reserved just for supernaturals or faeries. Magic is something anyone can do. I can do magic and so can you, as lame and Jiminy Cricket as that might sound.
I am very, very Pagan, and I have been decidedly so since these guys… ::gestures to the faeries:: showed up on my doorstep a year ago. Magic for humans isn't what you see in the movies. Sorry ladies and gentlemen, humans aren't capable of something like "fireball" or "teleportation", at least… not that I've seen. Through mechanics and science we can create "fireball", which is called a "flame thrower", but even we don't have the technology for teleportation. Not yet.
Magic as a concept is really rather simple: Willpower. Energy.
This is the base of it. Manipulating the outcome of something or someone with your will. Humans are capable of doing things like warding, healing, protecting, shifting energy and various things of the like. Some humans ARE capable of things like telepathy and telekinesis, but those are VERY, VERY rare.
Magic can come in the form of a spell, and most of the time does require asking a greater power out there for help, such as my spell to get rid of bad juju that comes into my apartment:
Step 1: Take a shower. Think happy thoughts.
Step 2: Wait for the steam to fog up the mirror.
Step 3: Write this on the mirror:
"With this shower/bath I cleanse myself, be gone this presence (insert name here), begone from my house!"
Step 4: Take a tissue and wipe up the condensation + spell on the mirror.
Step 5: Toss out of your house as far as you can with a prayer of STFO.
It works. I've had to kick some rather nasty energy out of my house. But, honestly… the point is, magic is possible, just not the kind of magic that you expect to happen from the movies. The other huge thing is this: Faith. If you don't have it, no matter how awesome your ritual is, no matter how many gods you invite in to help you, no matter what… if you don't BELIEVE that it'll happen, then it won't. You'll just end up waving your arms around, dancing and rhyming and resembling an idiot.
Same goes with trying to contact the faeries. If you're too bogged down by science and skepticism and REASON, then they're not gonna talk to you, because you're too closed. Humans have been taught and are being taught at a very young age, that magic isn't real anymore, that there are no such things as faeries or happy endings or princes, and because of the over-whelming scientific evidence provided, people are believing it, and our supernatural world is dying.
If you want the faeries to talk to you, then you HAVE to understand that you HAVE to give up your reason and your science and your skepticism. You HAVE to realize that these creatures AREN'T human, and they don't think like humans, you HAVE to accept and be OPEN to magical things.
Remember: Faith. Energy. Willpower. And you'll be able to do magic. ^___^

Colour Chart for Faeries that steal my keyboard:
Silverlance in blue.
Ambrosia in red.
Valor in purple.
V in light blue.
Rose in Pink.
So, if I'm writing in any of these colours, I'm most likely not Ashy, I'm one of them.

I appreciate your point, and up to a certain degree I agree with you. However, I think a lot of people have Reason all mixed up with the variety of close-minded faith that says "I've been told things are this certain way all my life, and so that must be how things are". I believe that really, Reason is the thing that, when I see (as for example, a thing that happened just last night): "Oh look, the little notebook that I always keep in my purse and which I haven't touched for several days suddenly isn't in my purse, my bf isn't the kind of guy to go purse-fishing, and hey look, what's it doing sitting on my computer scanner?", reason is the thing that tells me that something ELSE must be going on. Reason is the kind of thing that makes me add up all the oddnesses and 'coincidences' in my life, apply Occam's Razor, and say, "Hmm…no, that many 'coincidences' aren't a coincidence at all, that really *wasn't* my imagination all those years ago, and faeries really do exist." It's the kind of thing that (and again, personal experience here), after you've done a spell, if it didn't go quite the way you meant it to, allows you to figure out how to do the spell better next time.
And I certainly agree that it doesn't do to get bogged down with skepticism, but I also strongly feel that an open mind needs to be balanced out with a certain amount of wisdom. For example, just because (true example) someone posts a web page where they sell 'faeries bound to stones, guaranteed to be your friend for ever and ever for the low price of $X'… well, I hope you see where I'm going with that. I sincerely feel that Reason isn't the enemy, but close-mindedness most certainly is. :)
Sorry to voice dissent, but I really feel like this is a baby/bath water issue.
As for the rest…as Blue Tiger said, well put! Thank you for the inspirational words. :)

Teleportation through science is deffinitely possible!
But, it is also deffinitely risky and a bit dangerous, for now…
Being invisible is deffinitely possible as well.
These things have been happening in science labs

True dat! Last I'd heard, scientists in a lab in China in 2010 were claiming that they had teleported a whole molecule (though I can't find a link to it), and the most recent thing I found from January 2011 has a Nobel-Prize winner saying that he thinks his lab managed to teleport a fragment of DNA. (Full article here.) It's done using theories of quantum entanglement, and technically the thing at the end destination isn't the original thing, but a copy of it that is created when the original is destroyed. (I guess that goes for molecules too. It did for photons.) Then again…there've been channeled communications from aliens saying that that is exactly how teleportation works, so take that as you like. We're still a long way from functional Transporters though, so sadly, Scotty won't be beaming us anywhere anytime soon.
Here's a link to an article about a real-life invisibility cloak. It's not as good as Harry Potter's, but the idea is there and it does more or less work, given its limits. On this one though, I sort of have to agree that being physically invisible is harder, and isn't necessarily as good as being psychically invisible – unless you specifically need to fool cameras.
There are lots of exciting things happening in labs these days. Anyone who is curious can check out Dr. Michio Kaku's most recent books, "Physics of the Impossible" and "Physics of the Future" for some hints of some of the amazing things that are in development, and are closer than most people think. :)

Which is on the wayto proving what we magical people already know – magic is real! :)
