Dara goes into meditation and paints what is shown to her in her
mind's eye- She posts the painting and description on her blog, and I am
very concerned about the faery she has featured in this weeks' blog post.
The faery she observed does not know she saw her– but there seems to
be some distress involved over someone she cares about being held captive
in some way- This faery needs help!
Here is the blog description :
"She drops sadly down through the leaves of the Camilla tree ~ a kind of slow fall, or a controlled plummet. She is weary, depleted, lacking the energy to sustain her flight.
She lands in a patch of shady undergrowth, the palest wash of sunlight barely filtering through the leaves about her. Numbly she pulls her knees up, locking her arms about them. She lets her head drop, letting everything slip away as she drifts into a stupor of utter exhaustion.
I am appalled at her state. My perception is based on some kind of empathic sense, for there has been no actual communication between us at all. I am certain, in fact, that she is completely unaware of me. My preconception that the "Sleeping Fairy," ~ as I thought of her ~ must be in a peaceful state of rest is obviously very far from the truth.
Very delicately, trying not to disturb her, I extend a few probing tendrils of thought, trying to determine the cause of her depletion. What has brought her to this?
Rag-tag bits of information, like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, slowly begin to form themselves into a picture in my mind. It’s not a clear picture, unfortunately, or a very complete one.
She usually lives in the air, or perches in the branches of trees like a bird. Only rarely has she ever touched the ground ~ the very bottom of the sky ~ as she does now. It is only from necessity, never by choice. In this moment she is just too heavy of heart and spirit to stay aloft.
She has spent herself in some kind of struggle. I see a barrier, like barbed wire ~ a fence, or perhaps some kind of cage. Someone she loves is behind this barrier, caught, captured, held against its will in a place she cannot reach. I don’t know what kind of being it is, only that it is another winged one ~ a bird, or insect, or perhaps another like herself. Her struggle to reach her loved one against the unforgiving barrier has been long and futile. She has finally succumbed to exhaustion and a deep despair of loss and desolation.
And so she drops down to this spot, unable to fly, to move, to go on. I would like to know more about what has happened to her, what cruelty or misadventure is responsible for her grief, but she is soooo tired ~ exhausted to the point of numbness, letting everything fall away so completely that I can divine no more.
So, I turn my attention to her current situation, noting for the first time the tension in limbs and wings still locked at defensive alert. Poor thing, I think, she can’t really rest like that.
A single word sounds in my mind. "Regeneration." She needs to replenish her energy. What would help her? I wonder, and receive the answer ~ "Sunlight!" She needs the light of the sun to restore her. I do not know how I know this, but do not question the knowledge.
Huddled beneath an undergrowth of thick, heavy leaves, she is unlikely to get enough sun. I decide to try and help her.
Moving very slowly and carefully, as silently as I can, I gently pull back some of the branches and leaves above her, allowing a few rays of the mid-morning sun to fall upon her directly.
I watch as her whole body seems to sigh, loosening as she slumps forward. I am almost afraid she might melt. Her wings fall softly around her and she crumbles into a flaccid little bundle on the ground.
Soon she is perfectly camouflaged, her tiny body covered in the brown and green of wing and hair. She seems no more than a couple of fallen leaves. Carefully I tie back the branches so that she can remain in the sun and settle in to watch over her as she sleeps."
Now I emailed this to friend Ron Cordes, to see what any of the faeries that work with him have to say about this faery. I received a really wonderful reply from them — how this "Sleeping Faery" was suffering because she was actually entering into the sorrow or pain of someone (maybe even an animal or tree) that she was connected to– she was feeling the pain of that other entity or being. This struck a chord with me because when I had seen that faery back on 5/31/08- I was going through some sadness over a family argument. She wasnt aware that I was able to see her at first, and she had total empathy toward me shining from her eyes. She was feeling my sadness with me.
So many in the Faery realm take seriously the meaning of friendship and family- and they do enter into the sufferings of others and suffer with them.
Here is the Faerie's reply through friend Ron Cordes:
Good Morning our Sister of the human body and soul Lisa. We recognize
>>> the
>>> perception of the soul at war with the feelings of depression. The
>>> state
>>> at which we wrestle with emotions is not so uncommon in our ethereal
>>> world. As you have come to know, we have the innate ability to become
>>> intimate with the body and soul of all living creatures and objects in
>>> your world and ours. In this, we are that being in any point in your
>>> time.
>>> We experience the emotions and thoughts and for all intent and purpose,
>>> we
>>> become that being. When it is time to separate there is great loss of
>>> self
>>> and the green fog of depression hovers over the rivers of life. The
>>> emotion of love is not a gift from the "Creator of all Things" to be
>>> hoarded for the Humankind alone. We of the dimensional realms are
>>> blessed
>>> with the emotion of love as well and unlike man, we have accepted the
>>> responsibility that comes with the feeling. We are obligated to ask
>>> for
>>> permission to adjoin ourselves to any living thing and in return we
>>> share
>>> our most intimate feelings. We can be, what you may consider foolish
>>> with
>>> this display, but it is the way of the Faery. We live to love and we
>>> honor
>>> this more than any feeling imaginable. This sickness will pass and we
>>> are
>>> grateful for the concern shown by you and the other with mental
>>> insight.
>>> Blessing and Faery smiles be unto you, Bianca, Mia, Myra and Peter
