My dad just got me this awesome book!

http://www.amazon.com/Fairy-Bi…..1402745486

if u've read those books "the yoga bible", "the crystal bible", "the meditation bible" etc it's just like those except about fairies! it has a bunch of stuff like meditations, spells, and information on the fairy realm and famous stories, and it breaks the fairies up into the 4 elements: aire, water, earth, and fire. and there is a section for weather fairies, tree and flower fairies.

does anyone else have this book? or any opinions on it? maybe i can help some ppl if they'd like me to copy out some information about the fairies?

Oh, better far than we,
Who miss the shining of their wings
Because our eyes are filled with things
We do not wish to see."

My boyfriend got me this book as well :D it is really awesome. I was so happy to find a book taking the topic seriously, and the artwork is beautiful.

I know you; I walked with you once upon a dream.
I know you; The gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam.
Yes, I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem.
But if I know you, I know what you'll do.
You'll love me at once, the way you did once upon a dream.

That book was the same book I was reading after my first faery encounter .

It was in June, and I was reading that book while sitting out on our lawn near a pine tree.  In the book, they mentioned leaving faery offerings out for the fae-  so I went inside to get some goodies- and left them out under the pine tree . Then continued to read that Faery Bible..       Then   a mysterious rabbit trotted right past me and stopped at the pine tree near the offering.   He looked at me, and I believe I was reading the part in the Faery Bible of how the faery can shapeshift.

When I shut my eyes so as not to scare the rabbit,  I saw a glowing green outline of a short elven type guy (tree Dryad?)   standing there looking at me.   When I opened my eyes the rabbit had gone.   When I shut my eyes again, nothing was there but I knew it wasnt in my imagination-   some Being knew I was reading that book, and was introducing himself to me :-)

i wanted to get this book but i wasn't really sure if it was good , i don't really like books that focus on what they call bad fairies and so on , is this one a positive kind of book?

I also got this book, but they seem to generalize a lot.

I'm not even sure if calling them "fairy" in front of them would offend them if you don't know that the law exists, because I did that when I first met my house pixies. It's kind of like "if you know the rules, then don't break it because you're stupid for doing that" like how there would be warning on not to smoke because it is bad for your health but (if you're a non smoker) you still do it anyway out of curiousity. This carries dire consequences.
