In the forest that the "first" rests in, there are these faery/demon dogs… What are they?

They're like the guardians of the resting place or something. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Honestly, it's just something I remember and I can't remember much, so posted it hope that someone could give me more details…. The first was some magical creature and the dogs were fairly white and odd., they were vicious though…

Idk where the forest is located and or what type of forest it is…
