I know that the clip I had was really poor quality – I have better ways of doing things now and I will try and get a better one posted so the comparison will be easier to make.
I had listened to a few clips of coyotes before I ever made the original blog post and there were definitely some differences or additional sounds there for sure.
in nevada there are creatures called water babies and they sound like that and have clawed feet and drag people into pyramid lake i have heard those sounds, are these unseelie babies or something they run inbetween the sagebrush bushes. dogs started barking loudly outside when i turned this on
You know…growing up where I did (in the country, and lots of woods) you hear things like that at night. When dark starts falling you know to go inside or not leave the yard. I was in a meadow not far from my parents house, I was laying in the grass. It was a beautiful day…then I smelled this terrible smell. Then after that I heard this weird almost howl it kinda reminded me of a cross between a dog and an ape. I jumped up listened some more, it sounded close…so I high taled it for home. I even left my bike there.
My father cuts wood on the back of his land and hears stuff like this all the time. He said he even took a stick and knocked a tree with it. He did just to see if he could comunicate with it. To his surpirse, something tree knocked back. After that he told my brother and I "you don't want to be out there alone at night."
I have a friend who lives up in the mountains and she says that Coyotes can sound a bit like this if they're all in a pack, and out hunting. They can make some really scary noises in the night.
Ugh, that sound is making me upset. Definitely not Coyotes — I went back and listened to the Unseelie clip a second time just to make sure.
The Coyote baying noise sounds spooky, but it also sounds primitive and animallike – like the sound of a dog barking excitedly. It can catch you off guard, but there's nothing to be afraid of once you know what to listen to.
The Paranormal State clip sounds… wrong. There's something in it that's just not right. Laughter. Crying. Something else is in there, and it's not an Earthly animal. You can make out voices if you listen closely enough. There's an element of intelligence to the noises. It's rather interesting, but it makes my stomach turn. I've never heard anything so evil.
ooook, that scared me. i heard laughing and screaming, maybe a tiny bit of crying(?). anyways, that just didn't sound fun, i pictured bad things when i heard that…
edit: i think i heard a child in there o.o…now i'm really freaked out about it. so glad this is rare
Ugh, that's creepy. Does anyone think it could be foxes? Foxes are known for the many different sounds they make, especially the "Vixen's Scream." It might be the Unseelie, but you never know.
Here's a video I found of the Fox Scream.
"Be like the bird that feels the branches tumble from beneath her, and yet continues her song, knowing she has wings."
Lily that was a very good explanation, but it's barley even close to the noises (in my opinion). The foxes sound has one pitch in their screams, the sounds from Paranormal state has many fluctuations in pitches and sounds that almost sound human but it's too unearthly.
I saw another episode when I was watching paranormal state before the one above that had this sound in it. There was possible nature spirits haunting this couple because they lived on old Indian territory and cut down a cedar tree. So they were trying to bring out the nature spirits/ghosts to try to see if there was a haunting and this sound came from it.
What I feel happened was when the couple tore down that cedar tree, some of those unseelie beings from Mr.E's childhood may have gotten a little peeved about it and were doing things like messing with their horses (as we know fae love to mess with animals, and they horses were really scared about it). Honestly I can not remember the episode, but I don't think it was the shape shifter episode.
Those sounds scared me so much the first time Nat blogged about it.
"Over on the hill, there grows a flower. Growing quicker still, more perfect by the hour. Deep within that flower is a tiny chair. All a-fringed with gold, the Faery Queen sits there."~ Faerie Queen, by Blackmore's Night
Whats that noise in the beginning? It sounds like someone is saying : "nooosh" or "whoose" or even "hooch"lol. Other wise the rest of the video made me cringe. How did you get that on tape, Nat?
