Although I'm not Natalie, as far as I know it's a big, squidgy mess. If you're talking about a reputable business that can afford to do things like hire lawyers and employees to look for possible infringements, then it's more or less their job to look for such things and procure the right from you to use them if they can find a way to contact you. But there is no government agency or anything like that that I know of to protect your rights. That's why copyrights are important – they allow you to defend your own rights if you happen upon a case of infringement. Which, I will again admit, looks like exactly what has happened here, and Natalie, I'm sorry if I offended you. That will teach me to look more carefully at things in the future.

Hi Violet,

It's really neat that you wrote a book about protection symbols. It makes me wish I could read and speak Romanian so I could read it. :)

I am really curious about something now. On the cover of your book, one of the symbols looks a lot like this symbol:

truth amulet banner

which can be found in Natalie and Susan's store on this website. (Sorry, I looked and looked through the forum for the relevant post about it, but just couldn't find one, so I'm linking to the picture in the store.) And my question is, where else did you come across this symbol? I'm really curious. ^_^

Please know that I'm *not* accusing anyone of anything!  I know that Natalie and Susan have that symbol in their store for sale, and they are certainly entitled to copyright and sell their own artistic interpretation of it. But it's also true that sometimes symbols come into common knowledge (such as the seven-pointed elven star, which was known before they posted it here). I've never seen the truth-symbol anywhere else before. It's clear that you have,  though, so I'm wondering where else you saw it and what else it might mean besides just 'truth'. Who else uses that symbol?

No offence meant to anyone, I'm just being my usual curious self. ^_^

about protecting a copyrigth, I am a painter and photographer, and I don't use the big size of my work on net, if some one buy my art work I will send it to him after the payment

for protection is good a watermark…and also to put on this flag and site flag …copyright protected with big fonts

but if they are a universal sign , just your work is protected not the simbols. The simbols can be used for every one who want but maybe in a different presentation

any way to make money with this is hard, i know because tha arts is not any more in the interest of people, just a few need them

Hi all!  I put an order in recently at the Elves of Fynn Store here  and received the faery protection symbol.   It is really high quality and attractive!   the directions on the back say to put on your windowsill,  above the window or above the bed to turn away negative energies.

I have it on my desk that is near my bed–   it looks really attractive there too and matches my shelf unit there :-)

Last night I had a really beautiful positive dream after asking the faeries that love God to stay over my room from the cold.    I havnt had that nice of a dream in ages!

hugs

Lisa

Ohh, Jaylene,  it is beautiful and I feel you are meant for it!  The Faery Realm is definitely going to see you get one-  ;-)

After Christmas, I had a little extra money and did order that too- and it is exquisite.   It's sterling silver too- and it is very reasonablly priced.     The heart is definitely inspired from the Elves— as that walnut shell gift I got from the faerykind 2 years ago had almost the same type of carved heart inside of it like that necklace…    When I opened the box after Natalie and Susan sent it to me , I was so touched I started to cry-   it literally touched my heart.

You will love it-!

hugs

Lisa

Oh, that must be a gift too!   How many things I found years ago as a child- that I took for granted- because I hadnt believed in faeries then–    If I knew then what I discovered later in my life, I'd have all those things in a little glass case to think of my faery family :-)

That beautiful soft blue butterfly/angel wing seashell was most definitley a faery gift from them to you!
