Ok I need a list of plants that are good for healing. I need their name, picture, and healing properties. I'm trying to find something but no luck. I'm going to start making kind of like cream that you can put over a wound and it heals. I know willow bark is good for head aches but thats all I got so far. Any one know?

Hi Faecat,

There are literally hundreds of different kinds of herbs out there, with many different healing properties (and also ways that different herbs should NOT be used.) There are plenty of good books on the subject, complete with photos and/or illustrations. (Funnily enough, I was just looking at one of those at work tonight. I'm sure you could find it available online at http://www.bn.com. ^_^) But seriously, I'd suggest you pick up such a book if you're really interested. Specifically for what you asked, I know that comfrey is supposed to be really good for compresses and external application to wounds, but should not be taken internally since it's a suspected carcinogen.

You can also do a google search for 'medicinal herbs' and come up with some websites with pretty good information.

I swear this website has absoluetly every herb that has a medical benefit. Hopefully this is helpful. Also I have read Chamomile is good for wound healing too and I think, but am not entirely sure, Witch Hazel is good for it too.

I hope this helps.
