I've noticed that a lot of people here seem to have encounters with Unseelie or other harmful spirits. So I've decided to post a few handy ways of protecting yourself and banishing anything that might be harming you.

What to do if you are being attacked:

First

Stay calm. Panicking only creates more negative energy for something harmful to feed off of or use against you.  Most times, something attacking won't be able to do any major harm and is just trying to make you miserable. By keeping your mind under control your already half way to solving the problem.

Decide the level of risk

If you feel that the attack is minor, then shielding yourself and doing a simple mental banishing should be sufficient. If not then calling upon a guardian spirit or being of light is possible.

To shield yourself

There are an infinity of ways to shield yourself, so I am going to limit this post to my favourite two. A shield if made well should last you at least throughout the day. A good idea is to shield yourself before you go to sleep at night, so your shield is strongest when you sleep. It is during this time that negative entities are most likely to mess with you, and having a shield is an excellent deterrent.

The Sun Technique

  See the light of the sun with your mind's eye. Focus on the light flowing down to you in a pillar of brilliant sunlight that compeletely surrounds and engulfs your body. See the Golden Pillar of light become like solid gold around you and try to hold that image in your mind for up to 5 minutes. Know that this energy keeps you safe from all negative energy. Focus on the strength of this energy and how it surrounds you compeltely. This simple meditation will keep most of the weaker nasties from bothering you.  If you want to reinforce it more, you can visualize a circle of golden light that surrounds you that repels any negative energy from you. Visualize it like a large golden ring surronding your body pushing all negativity away.

Elven Symbol Protection

If your visualization skills are somewhat stronger, you can see the Elven Protection Symbol emblazend over your heart, shining with a brilliant gold light.  Hold that Image and see the energy of the Symbol fill your aura, repulsing any negative energy or attack. You can also draw the sigil down on yourself or a piece of paper, and then focus for at least 5 minutes on golden light filling the image with the intent of it protecting you. this will create a talisman you can carry with you to prevent attacks.

How to Banish negative entities

There are many spells you can do to perform banishings, but if you need to do something immediately these two both work well.

Banishing with the Sun

This is a quick way to banish a negative entity and is similar to the sun shield.

   See the Light of the sun pouring into the room or building you are in, or if you are outside the area around you for at least 15 feet in each direction. See the brilliant golden light running along the corners of the rooms and across the ceilings and floors until you are surrounded in a building of golden light. See this light as a barrier against any negative entity. It is very important to hold this image as long as you can. Shielding an entire room takes more focus than just shielding yourself, and the more focus you devote to it the less likely it is for a negative entity to force its way through.  On the plus side, this banishing will also remove any stagnate or unwanted energy from a room, performing an Astral cleaning. This helps keep the vibrations of the room higher, and therefore less likely to attract negative entities.

Banishing through Fire

 This is an effective but less peaceful way to banish negative entities. If there are peaceful entities nearby that you do not want to risk harming, just focus on the negative entity instead of the whole room.  Visualize a Blue or Red fire raging around the room everywhere (except for where you and your aura are)  See this fire englufing and burning everything negative in the room. If you are focusing on a particular entity, see the fire burning them, covering their bodies. The more realistic you make this the more effective it is. Seeing them charred black from being burnt horribly works well for me. Focusing on their heads and hearts are effective targets for driving away a hostile enemy. Remember, never do this to anything that isnt actively attacking you. Harming an innocent life is a cruel thing to do.

Protectors and Beings of Light

If the being attacking you is too strong for you to handle on your own, or if you just feel like you could use the extra help, there are always beings out there willing to assist.

Every Person has a guardian spirit. Getting to know yours is always a great idea. If you do not yet know your guardians name, don't worry. If you are under attack just calm your mind and focus on calling out for your Guardian spirit to help protect you.  The way I visualize it is spiritual energy being sent out from my voice, calling my guardian spirit to me. If you can stay in a calm positive mindset, it will make reaching your guardians much easier, as they wont have to try and filter out the lower chaotic energies to hear you.

You can also call out to the Angels for help. Angels are not based in any one religion and are available to help anyone if they need it. The Angel of protection is Arch Angel Michael. the name is not pronounced the same as it is in English. The pronunciation is like this “My Ky el” or “MI Khai Ehl”

Love also works. Just visualize a pink light. visaulize it in your power center. Expand it. let it run through your arms to your fingers and push it out. towards unseelie. Love is something they dont understand that goes with all evil and negative beings.

I have to say I have used this before even seeing this and I really like useing this one. (I guess I am unoriginal) It does work realy well. Just make sure the negative being is not aligned with fire. Otherwise it could backfire.
