Hey everyone! The official first day of summer is this upcoming Monday, June 21st. As i discussed in an earlier thread, there has been a lot of speculation over if this day or Midsummer Night Eve (June 24) is the best day to spot and connect with the fae. So we came to the conclusion we should keep an extra eye out on both days! So the first of these two dates is only 2 days away, so do any of you have plans on what you will be doing? Or what is a good way to have an encounter? Share them here!

since Arie is on vacay and at the beach, she's gonna call me both nights and we're gonna sit outside, tell each other if we see anything. :) {tho there is a good chance i wont see anything cuz i cant see em, but Arie can, so its all good } maybe i'll have Mourning sun over for a sleepover and ill put Arie on speaker. im prob going to leave something outside in my "fairy garden" {quotation marks cuz there isnt much to it yet, lol.} sound like fun?

I'm thinking of callilng off this Monday from work– or at least taking a half day, because of all days (The Summer Solstice) I was invited to go to a press seminar on the bad side of gas drilling –using the potentially destructive methods the gas companies are using now– and locally in my area .
There was a State representative I emailed to support her legislation on better regulations for this, so unexpectedly she emailed me Friday night and invited me! Told me that from my email, she knew I would be interested in being there.
Only trouble is that it is 10:00 am, and that's when I have to be at work– I feel guilty calling off from work, but this is so very important and involves alot of –up to now– natural pristine areas in my location that may suffer future damage if the gas companies are allowed to get away things.

Rock on, Lisa! It's great that you've been given a chance to step up and be a positive voice for the community. I know it's hard to break obligations like going to work, but you get to go to work almost every day – how often do you get a chance to speak out and be heard on important issues like local gas company regulations?
The other day I saw a bumper sticker that really rang true: "The best way to predict the future is to help create it."
Good luck – I really hope you and your Representative make some headway. ^____^
I, alas, am also scheduled to work on the night of Midsummer Eve, but I think I'll at least try to spend a bit of time meditating near the gnome garden I'm working on before I have to leave.

thanks Athidal!
We'll see what happens- I will have to bite my tongue until the right time to speak..lol!
In a way, I feel like I am being there for the sake of the faerykind –so what better day than Solstice Day!
We'll both have to go out to the garden later tomorrow night to send the faerykind our solstice greetings
hugs
Lisa
