Well… I’m probably leaving myself open to all sorts of criticism from the non-believers out there, but I think it’s time I admitted the truth, my truth anyway–fairies exist, they REALLY ARE REAL.
I know it sounds strange, but over the last 13 years, my sister Susan and I have been very fortunate to be able to communicate with some inhabitants of the fairy realm (or “faery” realm, as some like to spell it). At first, we thought, “Wow, we’re communicating with fairies? This is amazing, we should tell someone!” But as we thought about it, we decided that maybe telling the general public wouldn’t be such a good idea after all…
Recently though, in the last 3-4 years, the communication has changed from a sporadic interaction with random fairy residents to frequent communication with one particular group of fairy. This latest group has a purpose in their communication and the information that they have given us has been richly detailed and amazingly useful. Some of the topics they have covered includes: who they are, what they want from us, how to use fairy magic on a human level, how to invite them into your life and connect with them, as well as some information about their customs, art, and artifacts. So now, with a considerable amount of information archived, we have come at last to the point where we–and they–feel that it is time to share it a little bit at a time and see how it goes.
Below, is an example of some of the artwork we have received intuitively from this last fairy group, the ones we now know as The Elves of Fyn. It is one of many artworks and magical symbols that we have received over the last few years and we look forward to sharing many more with you. We hope that you will check in here from time to time to see what new information we have added and that you will enjoy this site whether you believe in fairies or just wish that you could.–Natalie Lynn

When would a fairy contact you?
I have insomnia, and for many years, I would wander my house in the dark or just sit in my room enjoying the silence.
But then it would be eerily shattered by someone calling my name, not loudly, just in a greeting sort of way. I’d sit as still as possible for a while, and continue listening. Sometimes, I’d continue to hear my name, sometimes that would be it. Other times, it would seem like the person/thing would continue talking, but not loud enough for me to really discern it.
After a while, I’d check all the tvs etc in the house and my family. Everyone’s sound asleep and nothing is on.
I’ve always passed it off as my imagination playing tricks on me.. but could it be fairies instead?
If so, I will be thoroughly impressed by my guests over the years, as my name is almost always misspronounced. ^^
And not to continue to attack you with comments and questions, but I keep thinking up other things.. (I’m sure you’ve noticed me on other posts by now too ^^”)
Is it common for fae to contact children? Like I said, I’ve had insomnia for many years (12 out of 16), and this has been a not-quite-frequent occurance. Once or twice every few months, I’d say, but more so when I was a child. Could that be because they’re much firmer believers in other beings (what most adults would dub “magic fairytales etc”)?
I also read that they tend to be more active in the warmer months. I don’t notice any voices during the winter, but just last week I heard my name and a tidbit of some sort of dialogue I wish was discernable. I have a harder time sleeping during the summer months, so this would be an excellent chance to try to discover if it is my imagination or possibly fae. Is there any particular way to go about talking with them (if I really do have a chatty visitor)?

when I was little I would see things out of the corner of my eye, alot.
It would be a face waving its hands by its ears and sticking its toungh out. sometimes it would just be a face with a hat on.
I started off not believing but with the experiences I have had, as well as my faith have led me to believe. I have just recently found this website while looking for faerie runes for a garden.
I have been a um, I guess you might call it a “Magickal Creature Sighter” for a couple of years now. I have made many friends and had a few creepy experiences. I live in a very rural part of my state surrounded by hills and vegetation.
I feel comfortable describing my experiences here and will post them in the proper part of this website. Thanks for starting it and giving me a place to talk.

Yes, that could be fairies – that is the sort of thing that they often do. And, we often second guess ourselves by questioning and thinking that it was our imagination, etc., that is a very natural response to something like this.
My guess is that you did hear something and it was possibly fairies. I say possibly because it could also be a haunting type of experience and we often look for more fairy-like experiences before we can feel really comfortable saying it’s definitely them. On another post, you mentioned that your learner’s permit was missing and, although ghosts can take things, this sounds very fairy-like so that would tip it in that direction for me.

Yes, I think that children can see fairies and talk to them much more easily because they haven’t yet been programed to think that they are not real. Sort of a shame that we adults have to try and relearn about them but it’s just the way it is for now – we are trying to change that a little bit here on this blog.
We did mention that fairies tend to be rather dormant in the winter (in cold climates) but spring should bring much more activity. Susan says that next time you hear them calling you, etc., respond to them either out loud or in your head. She suggests, introducing yourself and asking them who they are and what do they need from you? Then, just try to listen for a response in your head–the answer won’t necessarily be heard with your ears. Keep at it and you will probably get some interesting results!

Some years ago in Sacramento, CA, every evening after dinner I would take a glass of iced tea and go to the vegetable garden and enjoy the reverie there. Several evenings I was joined by (I think) a leprechaun. He always perched on the closest border of the raised bed to me and looked me directly in the eye. I believe him to be a leprechaun because of his size (approx. 3 feet) and his dress including the cap and shoes. The clothing appeared to be leather. He always smiled and stayed each time only briefly. I loved the encounters and wished for more. Because of that I believe they show themselves ONLY when they want to. I have not since then been allowed to view one but have felt the presence often of elementals, including tree spirits.
The information I have received from your site tonight has given me insights I didn’t have before regarding action on my part toward contacting them. I will work on that now and am looking forward to positive results as I truly feel that they are all around us wishing us to work with the beautiful environment we have been given.

I love this site! It’s really cool, lots of info. So, I have believed in fairies for a while now, (I always have believed in magic and supernatural presences.) I’ve been doing a lot for the enviroment, (Feeding birds 2 a day, picking up garbage, bringing reusable bags to the groceries buying ecological and biological supplies.) I wish I could do more but I’m kinda young (high school). I really want the fairies to trust me but I don’t know if I’m doing anything wrong because they have’nt showed up, just today I’ve left some chocolate outside for them and I am about to glue the fairy flag on my wall. I would certainly plant but I live in Canada and it’s still kinda cold to plant. Am I doing anything wrong?

You sound like you are doing all the right things – sometimes it just takes a bit of time for them to notice you and check you out and see if you are someone they would like to connect with. Don’t worry, I’m sure you are the type they would like from what you have written. You might want to invite them to you out loud, that sometimes helps and posting the Fairy Flag will tell them that you are a friend and that will help too.

Our maple tree had some baby saplings this Spring and I will be planting some where some neighbors cut those trees down last year. Thanks to the Elves of Fynn’s advice about that last month

im glad i found this site! i have always though that there was something out there such as the elves you speak of although i have never been 100% sure about wether or not i was sane! one of my favorite books is The Spearwielder’s Tales by R.A. Salvatore– basicaly its about an Elf sending a lepracon into the human world and find a human who can help him complet his life quest of reforging a magical spear and once thats done the guy gets sent back and years later is recalled to this other demention and between his time on real earth and the magial world he finds many things are simaler just like how i assume it is in what i am now seeing is reality–anyways sence reading it i wanted to know if anyone else thought that book might have some reality behind it but now i wonder if its ALL true…..weird….anyways i guess now i can beleve this stuff….if anyone knows an elf who wants to meet another human send him my way!! please do i wanna meet one! thay must be so interesting!
oh befor i forget to ask….has there ever been any report of a human going into this fairy world? if so i wanna go!…..ok maybe i spend to much time reading fantasy book..*shrug* oh well

Well, I think a lot of books, like the one you are describing, were “inspired” by truth rather than fiction. The ultimate truth seems to be that our world is a lot more interesting than many of us really know
. Yes, I think there have been many stories and legends through the years about humans crossing into the fairy realm. Sometimes it has been a positive experience and other times not so much! I think it really depends on which type of fairy resident that is involved.
Right now, I think most of the contact and communication is being done with them coming into our world and not the other way around but that is just an educated guess on my part.

not sure if this is exactly the right place to post this so sorry if its not but i have a question or 2
first off when i was younger (not sure about exact age because this was happening over a span of years) i wold always lose things! no matter how careful i was i wold always lose things and look and look for maybe a good 10-15 minutes and i wold finaly decide to stop looking and watch TV for a few minutes…..as soon as i look away from the TV whatever i was looking for was right where i last saw it! it wold never fail and even my parents had the same thing happen and i wold always say something like “i guess the house needed to borrow it for some reason” but now after reading around on this site im wondering if it was a fairie or some other “wee” person…what do you think? wee person or just bad luck? lol
my other question is last night i decided to try something i read about and tell the Fairies that i figured might be around that thay are welcome to stay at the house (no bad Fairies!) and even to try and talk to my through my dreams if thay though i i might be worth talking to lol…anyways i had a strange dream (honestly cant remember it now but i know it had NOTHING to do with anything) and i remember wakeing up with a “what was THAT about??” feeling–what do you think? did i have contact with a fairie or was it just an odd dream?
well thats about it for questions ATM but after reading that most comunucation is being done with the elves and fairie comeing into THIS world and not humans going to theres im a little bumbed lol…could you imagin an elf teaching you to live in the wild and how to sword fight? that wold be epic! hi i have just found out how fairies are made, and i would like to share….
A fairy is made when a child dies. when a child dies a little bundle of happiness is reincarnated into a bundle of hope. Soon a white dove finds the bundle and brings it to wherever a fairy village is and goes to the fairy nursery, where fairy docters take care of it, and after a few days(with enough care and nuturince)that bundle of joy becomes a tiny fairy.

Good questions….
Well, what you described as “losing things” and then finding them later right where you left them is a common thing that fairies do. Of course I can’t say that in your case it definitely was fairies but it is something they often do to amuse themselves or to try and get your attention.
You asked about your dreams and yes, they often try to connect with us in dreams, especially to begin with. I remember an early dream I had that was in an informal classroom type setting with a few elves teaching me things. Too bad you don’t remember what it was about
but that’s ok, they will probably try again anyway. Maybe you could have a notebook by your bed and write your dream down right away before you forget it? It might work.
Yes, that would be great for them to teach you how to survive in the wild and use their weapons, etc. The thing is, they probably would do that if you could get a strong enough connection going because it certainly is something that they know well. Just something for you to think about…

i don’t know why no one had told me about this website. i love it. and because i’m not the only one the likes fairies and believes in them. do you think they still exist?? i’d love to meet one. some times i think that i’m a fairy and try to do magic or try to make things grow. Hi I have just found out about this site and i found it to be very interesting! I have had odd not very explanible things happen to be its mainly with water and light or electronical things…. I thought i was crazy at first mainly because when i would point or do certian hand motions certian things would happen to the water i did the gesters to or to a light or electronical thing that was not working befor…I was woundering if this would have anything to do with faries and also i have a qwestion is it a sin to be trying to contact or communicate to faries? i am a string cristan and would like to know. For I do not want to be doing anything like this if it will put me down for my after death pleas help because if it not a sin i would love to be part of this world that has seemed so close to me but has felt so far away.

Hmmm, I can’t say for sure if what you are experiencing is connected to fairies but I would agree that something paranormal does seem to be going on. There are fairies connected to water but I guess I would have to know a bit more about your experiences to really be helpful here.
As far as your concern about it being a sin to contact or connect with fairies goes, Lisa A. is a Christian who has posted here many times and does not feel that it is a conflict at all. As far as my experience goes, the Elves are always very respectful of Christianity.

Hey, just wanted to ask, r american fairies different to english fairies in any way? Also, this site is the BEST cuz i didn’t even need to ask fairies to appear in my dreams and since i saw this site they have been in all of them!
