Real Fairies

A while back, I was watching an episode of Paranormal State titled “Shapeshifter” which included a segment where they captured some very unusual sounds from a woods in Maine.   On the show, they concluded that the sounds were possibly related to an entities known to Native Americans as  “coyote the trickster” which could easily be their version of unseelie.  I had Mr E look at the episode today and here’s our conversation where he gives us his impressions:

Below, we’ve listed some of the more common types of fairies that people are likely to encounter but  this is by no means an all inclusive list.  Most of the residents of the fairy realm will fall into one of three categories, neutral fairies, the Seelie, and the Unseelie.  The neutral fairies are just that, neither aligned with the good or bad.  This may be an oversimplification but the Seelie are generally considered to be the light (mainly positive) fairies while the Unseelie are quite the opposite. Since it’s gardening season, I thought I would expand on some earlier information that we gave you about  creating a fairy garden–

First of all, a happy,  flourishing garden, created with fairies in mind, can certainly attract fairies to you. Your garden doesn’t have to be huge and labor intensive,  it can be as small or as large as you feel comfortable with.  For those who aren’t really into gardening,  a few potted plants and maybe a little fountain on your patio or apartment balcony would be great.  The main point to remember is that you are creating something special for the fairies.

The Fairy Flag of Dunvegan

A very nice woman named Teri recently contacted me with this interesting story–

While camping in the Wheeler Pass / Spring Mountain, Nevada area,  Teri brought along an “enchanted” fairy pendant that she had purchased from Ebay.  Teri believes that this pendant is truly an enchanted object.  According to her story, she called the fairy, whose name is Arianna,  while she was up at the camp site and the fairy responded by showing herself. During a visit three or four years ago, my young nephew gave my daughter a large black plastic beetle which was very realistic looking.  Why he gave it to her, I’m not sure–he probably thought it was cool and she’d appreciate it, which she definitely did.  After he left, she put it on a moulding above a stairway in our house, thinking it was funny that people might see it, think it was real, and be a bit creeped out by it. The Faery Flag of Fyn

One of the first things the Elves of Fyn will tell you is that humans, as a whole, must learn to respect nature and take better care of the earth before it is too late.  Unfortunately for them, what we do to the earth in our world also affects them deeply in theirs.  I’m not really sure how this works – maybe the earth is multidimensional – but I know they are unwavering in their efforts to communicate and raise awareness in order to heal the earth. One of the first fairy sightings we experienced here was a rather large, misty figure dancing and twirling in our living room.  My sister Susan, who was walking past the living room,  first registered the mist in her mind as incense smoke.  But a few seconds later when she replayed it in her head, she thought, “hmmm, maybe that wasn’t incense. . . “  Right away, she went back to the living room, found there wasn’t any incense burning and then checked to make sure no one had burned any recently.  It definitely wasn’t incense and, with all logical explanations ruled out, we had to consider the possibility that something paranormal was going on.

If you want to encourage fairies to visit you, try putting a fairy house in a place of honor in your home.  A fairy house not only shows fairies that you believe in them, it also shows that you are making an effort to extend your hospitality and provide them with a fairy friendly environment.  Fairies are very appreciative of special places you set aside especially for them and will be much more inclined to communicate with you.
